• When I go to WP Admin, within seconds it goes to the site review. Have tried many times with the same results. Never happened before. Have been running 3 years with no problem like this.

Don’t know what good a link will do as no one can see what the back of the house is doing. If anyone can help I will supply a password to get into site to view what I am experiencing.

  • I’m not sure what you mean by ‘the site review’.

What were you doing before this happened? Had you made changes to the site?

One possibility is that it’s a plugin. You can FTP to the server and rename the /wp-content/plugins directory to ‘plugins-old’ or something. This will disable all plugins that are active.

If that doesn’t do it, it could be your theme. Via FTP, rename /wp-content/themes/yourthemename/ to ‘themename-old’ and it will load a default theme instead.

One or the other of those should hopefully let you back into the admin screens.

Actually I was wrong with the wording on two counts. It is not WP Admin it is Weaver Admin and site preview is at the bottom of Weaver admin that shows you the changes you make to the site in real time without leaving admin page. If you click on it it takes you to Front Page.

In my case as soon as I go to Weaver Admin in 4-5 seconds it takes me right to front page on my site.

I have not made any changes other than going to the newest WP release and after updating I did not have this error and it has been about two weeks.

What you’re describing is the theme behavior and it appears you’re running an obsolete version – you probably need to upgrade the theme. Use the instructions above to change the name of the Weaver theme directory on FTP and you’ll be able to at least access WP admin without any redirects. Then you should be able to upgrade to the new version of your theme. You may have more luck if you contact the theme developer directly for further help: https://weavertheme.com

Unfortunately the new version is not what I want. I love how the site looks since I put it together and every time I change over to the newer version I loose the current look and loose things and options I would like to keep. Developers should keep that in mind when they upgrade themes. New is not always better. If I could upgrade to Weaver II without loosing the current look and not having the problems I experienced every time I tried to switch over, I would do it in a heart beat as I like to stay current with WP and plug-in updates as I am now.
