    Hi there, I’ve just configured MC4WP on a customers website https://www.envirolights.co.uk, but whenever I try to submit an email address it won’t accept it saying ‘Please provide a valid email address.’

    I have used the shortcode both in the News Sidebar widget area and on the Homepage, and both areas show same message.

    I am running the Kallyas Theme, with Plugins: WooCommerce and Recent Posts Slider.

    I would really appreciate any help with this!

    Thank you ??

    Hi,

    The error is probably because the name attribute of your email field is in uppercase characters right now. Using lowercase characters should fix the issue.

    <input type="email" name="email" placeholder="Your Email Address" required>

    I’ll add some more config validation to the plugin so users will be notified when something like this happens in the future.

    Good luck.

    Ah ha! Thanks Danny for your help with this.

    The form now seems to accept the data, however no subscriber is added to my list. I have enabled the correct list in settings. I will check support forum and resubmit support ticket if I can’t work it out!

    Thanks again!

    Sarah.

    Thanks Sarah, appreciate your work effort to save me some time!

    Make sure to test with an unsubscribed email address, have all your merge fields present in the form and have a little patience. If my plugin shows the success message it means MailChimp received the email address. It might take a little while from there in some cases.

    Good luck.

    Danny
