Hi, thank you for your great plugin!

I have a job posting website that used to have a regular CPU spike. Each spike last for 2mins. During that 2 mins, the website cannot be accessed.

After using your plugin and cleaning up massive wp_postmeta data, each spike only last for around 20 seconds now. Much better than before.

I cannot find the root cause of the regular spike. Anyways, I hope to further shorten the duration of each spike from 20 seconds to 5 seconds. I would appreciate it if you could give me some advice on it.

I have uploaded the “monitor” result to you. The monitor captured one of the spikes. My upload ID is dqsdcgc2.
    Thanks for your help!

I’m happy to hear that adding keys to your tables has reduced the duration of your cpu spike. And, thanks for the monitor upload. It doesn’t show any particularly slow queries. If you also upload your site’s diagnostic metadata (from the plugin’s About tab) I can look for other possible ways to improve things. It will also help if you tell me how often you get these cpu spikes. Do they come at a particular time of day?

You use a persistent object cache, it seems. Which one?

Please describe your hosting setup? Is it shared hosting? What company and what plan? (Your performance may be suffering from the notorious “noisy neighbor” problem that sometimes causes trouble on shared hosts.)

I haven’t heard back in a few weeks. Please don’t hesitate to ask another question if you still need help.
