Enhancements Needed

I’ve been playing with this theme, and although it has some good features, these items (IMHO) need to be improved (in no particular order)

1. All theme functions need to be ‘hook-able’. It is very difficult to adjust/add things with a non-hookable theme. Much more work.
2. Header image needs to be non-repeatable. Not sure of the design decision to make it repeated.
3. Header image needs to be centered.
4. Footer (copyright area) needs to be customizable with additional text.
5. Although the theme description says “tons of options to customize”, this is not true. There are only a few things that are customizable in the theme options. Anything else needs to be done via a child theme and additional CSS.

There are probably some more issues. But, although a good start, this theme is only OK if you accept the design decisions on content output. Any other customization requires digging into the theme and using a child theme. In my case, I have replaced about half of the theme functions with changes via a child theme.
