It would be nice, if you add to the shortcode an optional “lang” attribute, which sets the language, e.g.:

    [wiki lang="en"]Test[/wikipedia]

In the settings you enter the URL of the wiki, e.g. https://fr.wikipedia.org. Buy you may also want to link to articles in other languages.

To give you a use case: You write a blog in your mother tongue, but may a (Wikipedia) article is not available in this language and then you want to link to the English article. Or if you write an travel blog, you may want to link to an article in another language.

Thanks for your feedback and this idea! I will add a feature to manage several Wikis by this plugin within a next version. Since some users asked to have complete other Wiki URLs than the Wikipedia, I will do it in an slidly other way, perhaps…

Okay. Yes, it would be nice to manage several MediaWikis.

Here is my delayed Helloween present for you:

I published the new version 1.4.0 that enables managing of multiple Wiki URLs! You can choose the wanted URL via a new attribute of the shortcodes. Just update and have fun ??
