    Hello @livegreensmart,
the problem is that pages don’t have an attribute like categories or tags, so how can we link the currently viewed page with the retrieved posts in the sidebar?

Perhaps, the only way would be using the custom fields…

I will take your request into consideration. I’ll let you know. Only I ask you some patience.

    Thanks for your post.

I used a plugin to enable categories and tags to pages.

Ok, but since the plugin is publicly released for all WordPress users, I cannot rely on third-party plugins that modify the standard WordPress behavior.

As soon as possible, I’ll see if it could be simple to bind pages and posts so that posts will appear in the sidebar when visiting a standard page.

    Stay tuned.

    Emmanuel,
I deeply looked inside my plugin if there was a simple way to add what you requested, but the only way I found added a new layer of complexity, and this only to have an additional option. For this reason I won’t add this option.

As you wrote, I have understood that you are currently using a plugin to add categories and tags to pages, so you should be fine with this solution.

I am sure that you will understand the reason behind my decision. ??

Noted on all counts, thank you, @aldolat

    Fully understand your reasoning.

In the meantime, my developer added this layer.

    As an aside:
    1. Though the related posts and pages scenarios have been attempted by a few plugins, none completely addressed my requirements.
    2. We thus custom built it: I’m of the opinion such a plugin has a future.
    3. If you’d be interested to either create such as a new plugin, or adjust your current plugin, I’m willing to provide our code/assistance.
    3. If not, 100% understandable.

    All the best! ??

Many thanks, Emmanuel, for your post, but I am really busy. I have trouble also to find time for my current plugins.

    Thanks again! ??
