• In a previous post I already requested support for the applets windows of the enhanced editor that appear empty, without the fields.

After upgrading to WP 2.5 I could see once the “insert image” windows with the correct fields, and I thought that my problem was fixed. Unfortunately it was the only time, and after that all the windows (links, insert image, insert media, insert custom characters) are coming always empy.

Anybody may point me out how to debug the problem?

    Thanks in advance
    Jimmi

The news is that it happens in Firefox only, not in Opera neither in Epiphany. IE I couldn’t still test, I will do soon.

    Further update:

I found this post and I found that the problem was that I access the administration panel without www and with https connection.

I may even add the www to my bookmark, but I don’t like too much to avoid using an encripted connection: is there an alternative?

Your bookmark to the admin pages should be exactly the same as in your blog settings. Then ssl should work well. Also, clear the cache in Firefox.

WordPress address and blog address in the options are without www, nevertheless without it the applets don’t work.
SSL is working in the administration panel, except for this topic ??

It’s strange that it woks in other browsers but not in Firefox. Can you install Firebug and check what files are being loaded when opening a popup (in the “Net” tab) and what are the URLs (with or without www).

Shame on me. I did several mistakes, and the conclusion is that you were right: the reason is only the https connection.
Once I put the correct address in the WordPress address option everything went good.

    Thanks again
