• Hi Tommy,

Before anything, thanks for this plugin, I’ve been using it for years and have never hit issues before.
Unfortunately, after recent WooCommerce updates, I found that I was having several shop-based issues.

    1. Clicking from a shop-category to a product page hung every time.
    2. The same happened when clicking on a woocommerce block from any other page
    3. When navigating directly to a variable product page, after selecting a variation, JS broke on the page.

I have now disabled the option “Track enhanced e-commerceChoose this option if you would like to track e-commerce data using?enhanced ecommerce tracking.Use the plugin’s official guides to setup your Google Tag Manager container:”

    and everything is working again.

I have tested this issue on our staging site with only WooCommerce and GTM4WP enabled and the issue persists on:
    Astra Theme
    Flatsome
    Generate Press
    Twenty Nineteen
    Twenty Fifteen

    We’re on an NGINX server

I’d be happy to provide admin access to our staging site, if required.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Same here !

Wish I had found this yesterday morning as same issue happened on a few woocommerce sites we help with – and we’ve spent hours solving this. To add to the confusion two different webhosts could not replicate the issue on their end (different country). These sites were working fine in private browser/firefox but not in any other browsers (incognito or not). So will be following to see if there are any updates as I am very happy with the plug-in. ??

Same issue found on one e-commerce site with woocommerce and astra theme. Freezing of browser happeing only for non-log-in users (anonymous windows)

Same issue here. Data layers that are sent to GTM from GTM4WP are causing the browser to freeze and crash. If the data layers (and the enhanced tracking) are disabled, everything works. But we need the data so this needs to be solved.

Hey everyone, it seems like the most recent solution for frozen pages is still coming to WordPress.

I am helping bring that change, I have developed a plugin that uses partytown to run scripts in parallel with web workers. Tecky stuff but it can reduce at least 1 second of the majority of websites and unfreeze many websites. Even modern frameworks like NextJS have not yet fully integrated this.

The plugin has a free version, but I am still getting it approved for www.remarpro.com, once it is approved I will post it here.

For now please refer to WordPress official documentation

And if you are interested you can download the free version here:
