Hi! I’m wondering if Enhanced Distribution feature intercept the ping to XML-RPC Ping Services that one can specify in the options-writing native screen from WP.
I’m asking this because I use about 30 ping services in that list, and comparing websites I’ve build using this list vs jetpack enabled websites with Enhanced Distribution on, the first ones are appearing well positioned in Google and receiving visits faster than those using Enhanced Distribution.
The topics of the websites are very different. Those are 7 websites, 3 of them with this Jetpack feature enabled.

Is there any explanation for this?
Is the list of websites to ping being overridden by the Enhanced Distribution actions?

No, the 2 services can work together, and won’t conflict with each other.

Enhanced distribution allows your blog’s public content to be included in the WordPress.com firehose.
The firehose is a stream of the public data (public posts, comments, etc.) that flow through WordPress.com and Jetpack blogs that participate in Enhanced Distribution. The firehose is used by companies and people who are interested in public blog content. When these firehose users display content from your blog, they are required to link back to your blog. They are not scrapers.

It might be worth enabling Google Webmaster Tools for all these sites, in order to find out if Google has any trouble crawling your site content.
