    Hi, I started to use this nice performance enhancing plugin with pleasure until I encountered settings that broke down.
    After taking a good time to make it as custom as possible on a Multilingual Woocommerce site = many plugins, All settings came back to default. Wow, bad surprise here. And this lack of stability seem quite recurring, also when disabling and re-enabling the plugin, which can annoying for debugging etc.

    Could you please check this since it’s the only issue that may lead to let this plugin on the sideway, while it has such a great potential.
    Export/import settings could also be optionally highly beneficial.

    Regards.

    I’m not able to see this page: https://your-domain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?page=eos_dp_by_archive because I don’t have the rights.

    The fact that you don’t see the star but a normal input checkbox confirms that you don’t have the last official version. You have version 1.2.6 beta. In 1.2.6 you don’t have the CSS needed for that star. This was my mistake, I’ve called the new official version 1.2.6 forgetting that your beta version was also 1.2.6.

    I’m not able with the rights I have to update the plugin to the new version, could you please do it?

    To do it, if you don’t want to lose your post types options (because with the new version when you delete the plugin that options are cleared) you could go to https://your-domain.com/wp-admin/plugin-editor.php?plugin=freesoul-deactivate-plugins%2Ffreesoul-deactivate-plugins.php&Submit=Select and change the following:

    – at line 9 Version: 1.2.6 => Version: 1.2.5
    – at line 25 define( ‘EOS_DP_VERSION’,’1.2.6′ ); => define( ‘EOS_DP_VERSION’,’1.2.5′ );

    then visit https://your-domain/wp-admin/update-core.php, you should see the link to update the plugin.

    After the plugin is updated, go to plugins => Fresoul Deactivate Plugins => Archives and try to modify and change the Archive options.

    If you still see that it doesn’t work, please give me the rights to see that options page (https://your-domain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?page=eos_dp_by_archive

    I was forgetting, delete your browser cache after you have updated the plugin, you should then see the missing stars on the post types settings page.

    – Great, stars are back ?? Using the official v1.2.6

    Sorry for the misunderstood “Archives” you spoke about, I thought about a WP core functionality. Ooops.

    – You can now access the Freesoul settings. Archives are still not saved.

    Hi @tdechangy

    no problems for the misunderstanding.

    I’ve tried to work on your installation, but it’s really hard. these 82 plugins slow down so much the back-end that it’s impossible to save the Freesoul Deactivate Plugins files using the WordPress inbuilt file editor.

    Anyway now I know the list of your plugins.

    I suspect about WPML and its add-ons.

    Without FTP credentials it’s impossible to save a file, WordPress triggers an error during the saving process. If you can give me the FTP credentials I could work with my client file editor bypassing all the plugins when I upload a file to the server.

    In any case, I will also install the most suspected plugins in my own installation and see if I can find the root cause of the problem.

    As soon as I find something I will let you know.

    hi @tdechangy

    on my testing installation, I have now SITEPRESS MULTILINGUAL CMS, WPML STRING TRANSLATION, WPML TRANSLATION MANAGEMENT.

    The first thing you should know is that you have to save always the options on the predefined language, if you save them on another language, surely they will not be applied. What you save on the main language is then applied on all the languages.

    I wanted to come back to your installation, but I’m not able any more to save the files. Sometimes I can sometimes not so, I think sometimes you reach the maximum execution time when you save a file.

    Now the Freesoul Deactivate PLugins ajax handler file as an error and it’s not possible to save any options, and even trying many times it’s not possible to save the corrected version.

    I was at a point that I verified that the ajax handler receives the right options and passed the user authentication and will to save, but then I had to stop for the ajax handler file error.

    If you are able to modify the file admin/eos-dp-ajax.php of Freesoul Deactivate Plugins, go to line 71 and add a semicolon to echo ‘options going to be saved:’

    echo ‘options going to be saved:’ as to become echo ‘options going to be saved:’;

    then try to save in Freesoul Deactivate Plugins => Archives and write me what message you see after saving.

    – It’s pretty strange that you encounter those save settings alternate issues. When I save settings in Freesoul it takes only 3 sec. each time. No issue with that.
    It was just impossible to save unless I updated the eos-dp-ajax.php file.

    > Indeed there was an error I saw in my error log – that you fixed :

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'print_r' (T_STRING), expecting ',' or ';' in /home/siccclic/public_html/lemaitreantiques.com/wp-content/plugins/freesoul-deactivate-plugins/admin/eos-dp-ajax.php on line 72

    – But the archives are still not saved, and it now shows an error message after a few seconds as you expected :

    testing not autosave: ok – testing nonce verified and current user can: oktesting trying saving archive options: OK – options going to be saved:options after saving:1

    also for me, the settings saving is ok, it’s sometimes too long the files saving with the WP file editor.

    Anyway, now the archives options saving works. To be honest, in the beginning, I thought about a conflict with one of your 82 plugins, but at the end, I’ve discovered a bug of Freesoul Deactivate Plugins that comes out in some situations. Thank you very much for giving me the possibility to test it on your installation.

    Soon a new version will be published with the fixed bug.
