English Page runs in critical Error when WC is activated

thank you for your reply. So changing the theme does not change a thing the only difference is that not JUST the shop does not work anymore but the whole English website.

Plugins were continuously updated .

Cookies and cache were cleared multiple times in the meantime.

Please share the log found in WooCommerce → Status → Logs and inside the error log file generated on your server. Please follow this guide to learn how to enable the WP Debug mode and where to find the log files it generates.

Hey and sorry I was off for two weeks…When I follow the path you mentioned I find loads of logs in there, what exactly am I looking for? You mentioned an “error log file”, however I have a few named “Fatal Error Log"

When you click on the “fatal errors” they will show you the logs.

You could copy and paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

Can you also please share a screenshot of the page with the error and its URL? I checked your website, but was not able to see the error message.

I see that you were using WooCommerce 8.6.1, since it’s been a while and we released a new version since then, can you confirm if the issue still happens on WooCommerce 8.7?

Hi Carol,

first of all thank you for your involvement! You have not been able to see the fatal error as WooCommerce is disabled, since this is a globally working company and the site needs to be up and running. As soon as I activate WooCommerce the English version of the site runs in that fatal error and the shop on the German version looks goofy.

Funny is, that when I reactivate WooCommerce, I do not get a new fatal error in the logs, the last one is from early March, related to Formcraft. The following link points you to several screenshots.

In 1,5 weeks we are attending the biggest show for us in Germany and people either buy on the stand or right after with a promotion code in the online shop. It would be very very helpful if we can get this back up and running again until then…

Once there, please?enable WP Debug?and try again, and share the log found in?WooCommerce → Status → Logs?as well as inside the error log file generated on your server, please.

thank you for the suggestion and I have already addressed this to our hoster, as I have seen many hosters provide the creation of staging sites as one-click solution. However if all of this takes too long and it is unclear, if we can get the shop back up running until next week, what would be the solution to completely erase every trace of the shop from the homepage to be able to set one up completely from scratch?

Just to confirm, on the staging site you currently have the same theme and exactly the same plugins active as the live website and they are all on the same version, correct?

As I understand you want to completely remove all WooCommerce data from the website to start 100% fresh, correct?

Please note that in doing so you would need to set up everything from scratch as it was a new store. You would also lose any data from previous orders, analytics, etc. This is permanent and, if done, we would not be able to get the data back.

If this is what you want to do, you can find the steps here. We recommend having a full backup saved before going forward in case you need the data in the future.

Having said that, we can keep helping you investigate this issue to try to figure out what is causing it without deleting the data. Especially because it is possible this solves the issue, but it is also possible that it doesn’t, as there might be a conflict with something on the website that won’t be removed with WooCommerce.
