• Hi all !!
I wonder how to change the width of my blog. I have seen some plug-ins that change it very nicely, but haven’t found any. To me it looks kinda too narrow in the screen… for the rest I like it a lot.
So, what would be the “manual” way to do it??
I’m usin OceanMist (Which I love!)
I think it uses mainly CSS, and I have NO CLUE how to play around with that one… I can do a little HTML, but that’s about it ??

    Thanx for your help !!

  • You need to understand some CSS to ‘manually’ alter the width of the content. The easiest thing might be to search for another theme which uses the page space differently.

How doe u alter it manually? just point me in the right direction- which file to modify?

You need a file which ends in .CSS. Normally style.CSS. Not always. Have a look in the WP root directory for it.From your file index.php
identify the outer div (rap, page, wrapper or similar). Then in the CSS look for width: 400px or whatever. Have at it. ??

Not the WP Root directory, but the theme’s directory (wp-content/themes/YourThemeName)

Sorry. I forgot where I was. ?? It used to be in root in WP .72 ??
