Encrypt license key during transfers

Hi,

Have been using your product for about two years now and it is excellent! ??
I have a small idea or question that I hope you will be able to quickly answer.
Today I was doing some code updates and noticed that every time a license needs to be checked it is sent over like this:

/?slm_action=slm_check&secret_key=XXXXXXXXXXXX&license_key=YYYYYYYYY

The License key that I’m currently sending through is not encrypted, but I would really want to put some lock onto it. I could easily encrypt it on the plugin side when it sends an activation request, but is there any option, function that I could on the side of my Licensing server? Ideally it would be a function, filter or hook that I would add to my functions.php and it would be working as some sort of a gateway in between validation function.

I would like this way to unlock the license key and hand it over to the license checking function.

Is it possible at the moment without blowing up anything? ??
