    Hi,

with the last few updates for this plugin, the product edit/ new product creation function breaks completely.
Disabling this plugin fixes the issues.
Can this issue be fixed asap? other topics for this issue was closed but issue was never resolved.

    Plugin version: 2.2.0
    Wordpress Version: 5.5.3

  • Hi @sayantansdas. Please try setting your PHP memory limit to 512MB to see if that helps. If you’re not sure how to do that, please refer to this guide.

Hi @drwpcom . Unfortunately changing the memory limit does nothing to fix this issue.

To better understand what’s happening, I’d like to take a look at your site’s fatal error logs.

    To find the generated logs:

    1. Go to WooCommerce > Status > Logs
    2. In the top right corner, open the drop-down and select the latest fatal error log, then click view to load it. Here’s what that looks like:
    https://d.pr/i/tCljQd
    3. Copy/paste the log into your response so we can take a look.

Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status to understand how your site is configured? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

After looking further into this, I found that there is an issue reported in the GitHub repo here: https://github.com/facebookincubator/facebook-for-woocommerce/issues/1700

I recommend posting a comment there so that you’ll be able to keep yourself up to date with the changes on this issue.

Thank you @tibetanitech for the link. I have subscribed to it. So, is it correct to say the issue cannot be resolved unless the bug report is fixed?

Yes, that is right. To update products, you need to deactivate the plugin temporarily and activate it back again for now. Please keep an eye on the GitHub issue to get updates on the bug report.

    Thank you for your patience.

Tseten, any idea when someone might get assigned to this? It has been a few weeks now, and I have vendors on my platform so disabling to add products or change categories doesn’t work for me. Thank you in advance.

I’m not sure when a developer will be able to look at this. It looks like this behavior is not happening with everyone but some users.

Just to make sure we rule out the conflict between your plugins or theme. I recommend doing a full conflict test first. You can find the instruction on how to do a conflict test in the link below:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Let us know how that goes.

In order to address the issue on my site, I had to roll all the way back to v2.0.5. That was the version right before the Instagram checkout, but I’m no programmer, so that may just be conjecture.

I’m glad you were able to fix the product page behavior with Facebook for WooCommerce by rolling the plugin version to 2.0.5.

I would still recommend doing a conflict test to make sure there is no conflict between your plugins or theme. It sounds like a staging site would be a good idea. If your host doesn’t offer that option, we recommend WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site. That way you will be able to test it without disrupting your live site.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
