Enabling Object Cache Breaks RSS Feed

Recently I have been pulling out my hair trying to figure out why my RSS feed wasn’t updating. I finally put 2+2 together and through a lot of hours of elimination and settings changes have narrowed it down to W3 cache. However it wasn’t the page cache feed settings it was the Object cache.
If Object Cache is turned on in general setting my RSS feed is broken with a timeout error. As soon as I disable Object Caching the RSS feed works fine and I can see the latest articles in the RSS widget normally.
Is there a fix for getting RSS to work while Object cache is enabled?
