• I am still on Responsive version 3.40 before I do the major upgrade on the live website.
My home page is a custom front page which I enabled in theme settings. I need to add some text – probably into the featured area which I am not using. I forgot how I can edit this front page. Can you please advise urgently.
    Thank you.

I am sorry but it is not as simple as that.

    1. I have a slider on the home page which was added via the “Enable slider” on home page in your previous versions.

    2. I understand that you kept the backward compatibility of slider feature so that I can see the slider on the home page.

    3. I very much hope that you are keeping the backward compatibility – otherwise my home page will be ruined and I assume you don’t want to riun that for me.

    4. I disabled the #featured-content.grid.col-460 section because it is showing your default text “Happiness is warm cup” or some such.

    5. When I enable the feature section to add my own text (without any images – I just want to add one sentence), I delete your default text and add my own text in Customizer, my text does not show up – the section is empty.

    6. When enable the feaure section without changing your default text, your text “Happiness is warm cup” shows up.

So this is what I mean. It is not as simple as that. Can you please look into it. By the way, I am doing this on my local computer, not on the live site because in my experience anything new in your updates is likely to ruin something, so I have to be very careful.

I am sorry but you do not understand:

    1. I am on version 3.40 both on my local and live site.

    2. I am not going to upgrade my live site to your latest version because you are still having issues.

    3. I am doing my changes on the local computer before I do them on the live site – in version 3.40.

    4. Are you saying that there are issues with the feature section in version 3.40?

    4. My question regarding your latest update has not been answered on this forum in another topic.

    5. Has your latest update been approved by WordPress?

    6. Have you kept the backward compatibility of the slider feature in your latest version?
