Enable XML-RPC

  • I need to use XML-RPC for some autoposting.
    However, a number of years ago, I disabled XML-RPC on my site with a security plugin (can’t remember which). It’s still turned off, but I can’t work out how to re enable it.

    Does anyone know how I can re enable it?

  • What security plugin are you using? Maybe try posting in the support forum for that plugin to help guide you to the enable/disable setting.

    If you are no longer using a security plugin, then check in the .htaccess file in the root directory where the /wp-content/ directory is located. You will need to use the control panel provided by your host or a plugin to access this file. *Take a backup copy before you make any changes to that file.
