Enable SVG GZIP compression?
-
Dear Plugin Dev-Team,
I’m using your great caching plugin, but I cant find a solution to compress .SVG files. I have two of them, which google page speed insights
Deeper research revealed, that this filetype will not be compressed automaticly because it is a graphic file. So I have to do some special configurations, which I did not find yet.
I have two of this .SVG Files in my theme, which are disputed by Google. Considerable 125KB could be saved by compression. I hope you can help me to find the correct configuration for W3TC and/or my (root)server so I can finally solve this problem. Since W3TC is an excellent caching tool and implements the GZIP function in Text-Documents properly, this must be a setting issue or a missing feature.
best regards
