• I’ve went through in both IE and FireFox and both are set to send referrers, and I’ve also tried commenting out some code in the wp-login.php suggested in some thread yet I’m still getting this error.

I haven’t installed anything new recently that should affect this, I don’t use any firewalls other then the routers built-in firewall.

    Anyone have any other ideas?

Maybe you didn’t quite read what I said, I’ve tried what’s listed there, and nothing’s working.

Then please list everything that is on your system and we will see what is going on IF we can.

This is an impossible problem to solve simply from what you have given as there are potentially as many problem/solutions as forum users.
Start by finding out what is on your system and then going to the website of the manufacturer.

This problem is not related to WP – it IS related to your system.

My system is fine, there’s nothing hardware related that would cause this problem FYI

So going to a manufacturer wouldn’t do anything, besides I built this myself.

I installed spy sweeper recently but it was after that that this started, it happens in BOTH browsers, and I have no firewalls and all of my spyware related programs are closed.

    zeeg,
You didn’t specify that you had visited the Codex page. I can’t assume what you have done, you need to lay out exactly what you have done. We aren’t mind readers.

There are also other threads dealing with this, and solutions have been found that aren’t yet documented on Codex. If you searched properly and followed through those very recent threads, you would see the changes some have made to a specific file that seems to have worked for them.

“I installed spy sweeper recently but it was after that that this started”

Start there. It obviously did something to your system.

If you’re not going to be any help, dont bother. I’m not some new computer user I know what I’m doing. Spy Sweeper is disabled and there aren’t any processes outside of what normally runs that would cause any problems.

Is it me or is all the FREE help that is given in this SUPPORT forum being recieved with a more hostile tone these days ?

If you dont like giving free help, then don’t. Don’t go around calling me hostile because you’re trying to sound all brilliant.

If you don’t like getting free help, then don’t. Don’t go around claiming someone’s trying to sound brilliant because you want to appear technically knowledgable.

Something everyones been told since.. they were old enough to talk I guess.

“If you don’t have anything nice to say…”

It’s not a hardware problem and im 99% sure its no software on my side, is there anything server side that could be causing this?

FYI, the word you want is technilogically ??

Please read this thread very very carefully.

FYI, its NOT client side, because my friend has the same problem on my website. Thanks.

Are there ANY server options that deal with this, the site is hosted by godaddy.

Ok, the problem was, in one of my nightly updates somehow the site url field ended up as http: or something similar.

Changing this back to the correct value fixed this, thanks for the help tho.
