Enable Referrers keeps acting up

  • i have searched on googles and wordpress and have done everything possible from changing the codes in the admin function.php to disabling my zone alarm pro, checking on my firewall, disabling my norton anti virus .. everything.. that i can find and nothing works.

    is there a fullproof plan for this thing? it is seriously frustrating. if possible can someone send me the “corrected” admin function php..?

  • The foolproof plan is taking things step by step I’m afraid.

    Are you sure that you have been to the ZA site and followed their advice ? What broswer do you use – checked that ?
    Are you behind a router with high privacy settings ?
    The answer is in your machine..

    Could be in your browser, too. Opera (for one) allows you to not send headers, which will result in the problem you’ve reported.

    well i found some snippet of code which disable the referrer checker, somehow its working cept when i posted a comment, it just go into a blank screen.. hmm.. perhaps its my machine but i have done everything for the last 12 hour, its just so frustrating when you cant get thing worked your ways.. ??

    well anyhoo im still looking out for the best solution to this problem hopefully the future versions of WordPress will be able to correct this problem.
