• How do I get rid of this plugin’s effects. I get an error relating to it in my console when I am debugging but I uninstalled this a while back and forgot about it but I still get emails telling me

    Greetings!

This is a weekly summary of the warnings still present on your site, relating to the jQuery library. These errors should be addressed as soon as possible.

Your site is running a legacy version of jQuery, modern functionality is currently not available to your plugins, themes or WordPress itself.

There have been no reported deprecations logged in the past week, maybe you no longer need this plugin?

This email was automatically generated by the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin on your website Business Growth

One would have thought that the WordPress team would have written a plugin that properly uninstalled itself?

  • Did you ever find a resolution to this? I’m having similar issues and can’t even restore from a backup without it coming back and it’s broken my website.

I ran “Remove jQuery Migrate” but I still got the reminders so I then ran “Stop jQuery Migrate Emails”

Lets see how that goes. If its broken your website then you really need to get it back to working using a backup run these and see if it works then

If the plugin is removed, it should not be technically possible for it to still continue running, but we’re seeing some odd hosting issues, so I’d love to hear what host y’all are using for your sites?

    And yet the warnings continued.

I’m using Hostinger with Litespeed web server

We’re seeing the same behavior … the “Weekly jQuery Migrate Status Update” admin emails are still arriving after the plugin is disabled, in one case with a report from an issued logged in Dec. 2020.

Trying now after the plugin deleted, and will update.

These are sites on WP Engine and SiteGround.

Yes I am STILL seeing this. I have run Remove jQuery Migrate even rerun Enable jQuery Migrate followed by Remove jQuery Migrate again deactivated

I also have Stop jQuery Migrate Emails which seems to do nothing but I dont find out until a week after I have been messing around.

I guess the remedy is send the messages to spam

I too am having this exact issue. Support installed the plugin without my knowledge as a form of testing but it didn’t address the issue I had, so was it never needed originally.

I have run Remove jQuery Migrate and there seems to be no evidence of the plugin left on my site but the emails continue. Since there’s no unsubscribe to the emails, I can’t stop them from coming. My host is Bluehost.

I think stop jquery migrate emails plugin has finally worked. Its been 2 months now and afaicr no warnings.

I’m not sure what “Remove jQuery Migrate” is, I am suspecting it’s a plugin intended to remove the code that’s built into WordPress it self?

That would be a separate plugin, and will likely have no impact on this plugin (they’re both plugins, you can just deactivate this plugin if you no longer need or want it).

    Still they come.

I am still getting a weekly warning on some sites despite removing your plugin and running others to remove and to stop these damn emails that say “`Greetings!

Debug shows no mention of jquerymigrate being loaded but these messages persist

How would it even be possible for a plug-in to continue to send email after being removed?

    Thread Starter patbell101

    (@patbell101)

I guess because the warning email is a core wp function and wp still thinks the site has jquerymigrate installed. I also suppose that removing the plugin didn’t remove all its code or reset any flags that trigger the email.

Whatever… I still get weekly reminders telling me jquerymigrate installed yet I have uninstalled the plugin, you tell me why?
