Enable jQuery Migrate Helper keeps reinstalling

You might have another plugin, or theme, using code that pulls down this one. This plugin it self has no code to re-introduce it self to your site.

If you do not have a plugin or theme requiring it, reach out to your host, it may be that they are restoring backups for some reason, which may contain the old plugin files.

My host already said it’s not them, and it’s impossible to test my plugins and theme to see if it’s there, as the gap between it randomly appearing again can be weeks

it’s just reinstalled itself again and I only know that because I got an automated email telling me that I don’t need it so why not uninstall it. How do I stop you plugin from installing itself?

I’m afraid I can’t help you, this plugin, and me, have no way of controlling what plugins are installed on your site.

If you are still experiencing issues and are unable to find a solution on your own, you may need to hire someone to look into your site, but my initial assessments above still apply; It’s likely a backup being restored, or another plugin or theme pulling this plugin down for their own needs.

How would another plugin or theme be able to install another plugin a randomly, a plugin that’s not even needed? Especially seeing as it seemed to have happened when WordPress itself was updated

Ok, so my host updated WordPress again and this jQuery plugin has returned for no useful reason. None of my plugins need it, I’m not installing in, my host isn’t installing it, so why does it keep coming back when WordPress gets updated?
