  • Hi,

    What happens when you try to log in? Do you get a redirect, error or something else?

    Thanks,

    Nothing happens. No error and no re-direct….
    Very strange, use your plugin on many sites and never had an issue….

    Hi,

    Do you have Disable Login Errors enabled? It’s on the Settings in in WordPress Tweaks. If you do, please disable it and let me know if you see an error when logging in.

    Do you have anything like Varnish set up?

    Thanks,

    Hi Gerroald
    I disabled it but still do not see an error.
    Something very strange is going on. If I upload images, I just see them as a blank image and error ‘can not be found’…. It is not up-loading them in the ‘redirected’ folder….

    I re-installed everything. Now as I wanted to change the wp-content directory I am getting this warning/error:

    Warning: require_once(/home/domain/public_html/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/core/lib/class-itsec-lib-utility.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/domain/public_html/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/core/lib/class-itsec-lib-config-file.php on line 752

    Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/domain/public_html/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/core/lib/class-itsec-lib-utility.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/domain/public_html/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/core/lib/class-itsec-lib-config-file.php on line 752

    And all is broken now…..

    @pothound

    The error probably indicates there is a plugin file missing (class-itsec-lib-utility.php). Looks like the plugin install got crippled.

    Since there may be more files missing simply delete the content of the better-wp-security folder.
    Then download a fresh copy of the plugin and copy a fresh set of files to the better-wp-security folder.

    Oops sorry! I deleted everything and re-installed. But again everytime I try to use ‘change the wp-content directory’ I am having all these issues.
    And it is a clean/new install.
    So after deleting/re-installing everything for about 4 times I decided not to use this part of the plugin.

    @pothound

    I’m sorry to hear about your struggle with this feature.

    Did you by any chance check that the better-wp-security/core/lib/class-itsec-lib-utility.php file exists before trying to change the wp-content folder ?

    I temporarily renamed that file and then tried to change the wp-content folder and this allowed me to reproduce your errors instantly …

    Tried it again and checked if that file existed. It did exist and now I am getting this error:

    Warning: require_once(/home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/core/lib/class-itsec-lib-utility.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/core/lib/class-itsec-lib-config-file.php on line 752

    Ok got it finally. Did as you suggested and up-loaded the plugin again.
    And what I forgot to do, is change the path for the up-load files in the settings ??
    Thanks for your help!
