Enable Date and Author

  • I want to keep the MetaData Author and Date disabled for all my posts except one category “News” for the google publisher network.
    In my theme settings, I can only disabled or enable the author name and date for all my posts.
    How can I Hide the author name and date for all my posts except the posts in the news category?
    Is there a way to enable author name and date for a single post?

    I have enabled the Author name and Date at the moment.

    I’ve installed a plugin to remove Dates from all other categories besides “News” so I think I’m good on metadata. But even tho the Date is removed there is a separate element, like a black dot. How do I hide it?
