Hello @imrchk, can you please provide more details?

From what we understand, you’d like to have a “can chat” role for users. This means that chat will appear only for logged in users with “can chat” role enabled.

This is exactly what I need, how can set this up, so only one role can have chat be available to them?

Hello @imrchk, this is a new feature request and we’ll add to the list for future releases.
Can you explain your usage scenario so we can add a good description to this feature? Looks like you’re offering premium live chat support to some of your customers.

Hey, thanks for a quick response,

On our website there is affiliate users role, ideally they have a chat available to them in their my-account where they can chat with available administrators. They are more than just affiliate, they have to go through some training material, and if they have any questions, they can get in touch with administrator.

So this is a use case for a feature. Currently, I have managed to trigger the chat with a click in my account page. And that trigger is only available to certain role. If you have an idea for a better workaround, I would be great full.

    Thanks,

Hello @imrchk, we just released version 8.1.5 but it wasn’t possible to add the feature you suggested in this release. It’s still in our todo list so we’ll push in a new release as soon as possible.
