• Hello,

I have 3 sites that are using the en_ZA as the Site Language for WordPress.

I manage MULTIPLE sites but only these 3 are using Elementor.

1 of the sites is hosted on a totally different server but experiencing the same problem.

WordPress is notifying me that there is a translation update for the Elementor Pro en_ZA translation file and it is ONLY on these 3 sites because this is where Elementor is Installed and yet whenever I try and update it, it shows the following:

    Update Translations
Updating translations for Elementor Pro (en_ZA)…
    Download failed. Not Found
    Go to WordPress Updates page

Only the sites with Elementor are complaining about updating the en_ZA translation file.

This has been happening now for over a week.

    Any advice is welcome

    Hi @bluesteam,

Since you are an Elementor Pro user, you can open a support ticket at my.elementor.com

I’d also suggest you check out Elementor Community Group on Facebook. We have created it to connect Elementor users together and share knowledge, Global Elementor Community.

www.remarpro.com rules state that commercial products are not supported here.

    Kind regards,

I dont personally have an Elementor account. I manage this on behalf of my clients. and ALL my clients with pro it seems is having this issue.

Surely I’m not the ONLY person having this issue?

FYI I have the same problem as well with translations (except it is en_ca) and do not have a fix for it. It’s been happening for a week or so.

I am also getting a similar error when updating plugins (not just Elementor) that have license keys. The error I get for plugins updates is:

Update Failed: Download failed. Not Found

With plugin updates though when I refresh the page the plugin actually is updated and seems to be working fine.

I will contact Elementor Pro support about it.

I have multiple Pro sites – several are displaying the same error noted above.

I’ve setup a support request over here for my issue since it also deals with plugin updates (only for plugins that have licenses it seems)

Our issue is a little different but it feels like it’s for the same cause, and it’s been happening for the timeline that you mentioned.

We’re en_CA and a couple times a day see “Updated translations for “Elementor Pro” (en_CA)” in the activity log. So, it’s repeatedly updating for some reason, while in your case it’s repeatedly trying to update. I don’t actually understand why “translation” is even enabled. It’s English! If I knew how to disable whatever this translation feature is, I would.

Update: The above was in reference to updates happening automatically on some unknown schedule. I do notice, however, that on the very bottom of the WP Updates Dashboard that there is an “Update Translations” button. If I press that, I get the error that you show, which is puzzling given what I’ve written above about the system seemingly updating the translations. I think that what it’s actually doing is repeatedly failing and not saying so, since repeatedly updating successfully makes no sense at all.

Yes exactly the same here for Canadian English. I tried changing language to US yet Elementor Pro still says on clicking on Update translations that en_Can is available. When clicking it shaws Download failed, not found. When I briefly reloaded WP the update icon dissapered. Not long after reappeared, with Translations available, still resulting in exactly the same thing.

I opened a support ticket and Elementor support confirmed this to be an issue and that they are working on it. However, the dev stated that to get MORE attention applied to the fix sooner, they need more people opening tickets about it.

If only a few people open their ticket, they won’t give it high priority.

I setup a support ticket for it as well a week or so ago.

I also added to it the Plugin Update failed error (but the plugin actually updates) I also get which also all happened at the same time.

Elementor at first tried to blame my host but I wrote back a long reply and they relooked into it further and could reproduce the problem.

Has anyone here had this problem resolved? It is still ongoing for me.

No, and with no recent updates that’s not surprising. They’re in no rush apparently.

    @bluesteam – Still ongoing for me – no resolution…. EXTREMELY annoying…

I’ve also been having this issue with Canadian English (en_Can) since March 2024 across all my Elementor Pro sites. I raised a ticket to support, who ultimately said:

Upon replicating the issue, seems like this is a bug. I have reported this to our dev team, and hopefully, they will fix it soon.

I don’t think they’ll prioritize fixing it unless they get more people submitting error tickets. Submit those tickets, folks!

Also having the issue lodged a ticket with Pro Support

    Support Agent:
Upon checking, yes, it does seem to be going on for a while. Currently I can’t provide any specific details or ETA. What I can say is that it has moved from the R&D phase and onto propagation stages.

Any updates on this?.. latest Elementor update has not addressed this bug yet.
