Empty RSS Feed (not from upgrading to 2.5 though)

  • I’m having the problem where one of the blogs I administer has an empty RSS feed.

    From my searching, it seems like this is an extremely common problem with people who upgrade to WP 2.5. My problem is that I am running 2.6.2 which should have corrected the problem found in 2.5. So that doesn’t seem to be the problem.

    One interesting thing is that I am running 8 separate WordPress sites using the same WP installation (using Virtual Multiblog) and none of the other 7 sites have this problem.

    I am at a complete loss for reasons since it seems to be an isolated case. So I was wondering if anyone here had any theories?

    Aha!! I figured it out. My feed wasn’t validating because users were cutting/pasting from Microsoft Word into the editor which introduced some invalid characters.

    Once I fixed that, everything is peachy keen again.
