• After clicking save on the edit dialog for row, column, or html settings, I get the white overlay with rainbow progress bar and then after a second or so, a javascript error:

    [my page url]/?fl_builder net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
    send @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.3:5
    m.extend.ajax @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.3:5
    m.(anonymous function) @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.3:5
    FLBuilder.ajax @ fl-builder.js?ver=1.6.4.4:5738
    FLBuilder._saveSettings @ fl-builder.js?ver=1.6.4.4:4425
    FLBuilder._saveModuleClicked @ fl-builder.js?ver=1.6.4.4:3769
    m.event.dispatch @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.3:4
    r.handle @ jquery.js?ver=1.11.3:4

The white overlay never clears out.

All was working fine yesterday, but upgrade to lastest version of WordPress and current version of plugin this morning.

    Hey Pdreyn,

Thanks for getting in touch! Problems like these are usually caused by a 3rd party plugin conflict. Let’s have you go through the plugin deactivation route, i.e., disable all plugins and test the Beaver Builder while reactivating each to determine if the issue is related to a 3rd party plugin. Let us know how it goes! ??

The issue occurs when the current versions of any of the following plugins are activated:

    Contact Form 7 Version: 4.3.1
    Hide Title Version 1.0.4
    The Events Calendar 4.0.2

The WordPress and each of the these plugins was upgraded to the latest version yesterday. We did not have the issue with earlier versions of the plugins installed.

    Hey Pdreyn,

I tried all of the plugins above on my local dev. I simply installed and activated all of them then used the page builder and it works just fine. I’m using the BB Live Version 1.6.4.4.

In more testing, it looks a bit more random than that. Some pages will repeatedly have the issue, others will work fine until they don’t. All without a change to the list of active plugins.

It happens in both Chrome and Firefox. It looks like the changes do get saved. Is there something that would block the confirmation that the save was complete?

    Hey Pdreyn,

Not really sure what you meant on your last question. This may have something to do with the theme you’re using? Could you try using the free TwentyX themes and see if you get the same problem? Also, are you adding 3rd party JS scripts to the site?

The issue is present with TwentyFifteen theme as well.
Other than Bootstrap, no external JavaScript other than on a couple of pages. The issue happens on pages where these external scripts have not been loaded.

Re “It looks like the changes do get saved. Is there something that would block the confirmation that the save was complete?”

If I update a setting in a row, column, or html dialog, I get the white overlay and progress bar, which, if left alone, never go away. If I refresh the page after several seconds I’m back in page builder mode and the changes I had attempted to save are in place. Since the error message is an empty response, my assumption is the fact that the save has been completed has not been sent back to the client, so the overlay and progress bar remain active.

So the question is, what would cause a) an empty response in the notice to the client that the save was successful, or b) failure to send that notice.
