I have an ongoing issue that I can’t resolve.

On a few specific old posts, I often get an empty response error and I’m unable to update the post after making slight edits. i’ve tried numerous things like repairing the database, deleting revisions, different browsers, testing plugins, etc, but nothing seems to work. It really only happens on a few select posts that were created a few years ago. Strangely, if I duplicate the content and publish them in a new post, the problem doesn’t occur, so it doesn’t appear to be a resources issue. Additionally, the error only occurs sporadically — sometimes it will give the empty response, and other times it will update correctly.

I want to maintain the posts since they get a lot of organic traffic, otherwise I’d just recreate them.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

  • Hi,
1- Please make sure that you are using the latest version of wordpress,

    themes and plugins.

2- Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate

each one individually until you find the cause.

3- If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the default theme

for your version of WordPress to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme

    functions can interfere like plugins).

4- Check the server error log to know the error detail of this issue.

    Thanks
    Mohammad
