I am setting up a shop for a client, but I am having a problem setting up payments. I have gone through the process of adding consumer and secret keys for the REST-API. I have used Postman to test and get the following result:

    Successful PUT request

However, when I try to connect the store, I get the following error:

There was a problem connecting this site to WordPress.com: “The registration secrets sent by your site is empty.

Can anyone please advise me how to solve the issue? Many thanks in advance!

    Hi there @chapman387,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The error message you’re seeing seems like the issue might be related to a communication problem between your site and WordPress.com.

First, please ensure that your site’s Jetpack plugin is connected to WordPress.com. If it’s not, try to connect it. If it’s already connected, try disconnecting and reconnecting.

Let us know if the problem persists.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

I resolved the problem by Resetting file permissions and restarting web services, on my host dashboard.
