    Hello,

I really like this plugin and when I am logged on as admin, everything works fine.

But when a user wants to leave a comment, there is an empty red noticifation bar which appears above the comment field – see here: https://www.germantogo.com/test%20comments.JPG After a while, the bar on the top of the page stops loading and nothing else happens. However, when the page is refreshed, the comment is there and everything is fine.
When the user tries to send a reply, I have the same problem.

I also enabled the live update, but that doesn’t change anything.

When the user clicks on the “edit” button, the bar on the top of the page loads, then stops loading, but nothing happens – the user is not able to edit the message…

This was a message I actually sent to you 10 months ago, and you replied it might be a JS error on the front-end. Well, I disabled the plugin and used another one. But I would still really like to use wpdiscuz because because of all the great features. I had a programmer check if there really was such an error and this is what he discovered:

“I just tested the plugin. As it turns out, there is a JavaScript error, specifically a “JSON parse” error. It’s coming from the plugin and not our code, so there is nothing I can do”

Do you think you could take a look at this and fix the error for the next release? I would really, really appreciate it. ??

Many thanks and have a nice day,
    Juliane

    Hi germantogo,
I don’t see the latest wpDiscuz 5 version on your website. This is the wpDiscuz 4. Please update to the latest 5.0.2 version. Delete all caches and purge CDN if you have. Then do Ctrl+F5 on front-end.

    Hey,
    thanks for the quick reply.
I actually installed the plugin yesterday, and it says the version is “Version 5.0.2” It is just deactivated right now because it was not working well. So, the version shouldn’t be the problem…
If you are referring to the image, that’s the one from 10 months ago, but the error is still there.
Could you take a look at that “JSON parse” error?
    Many thanks!
    Juliane

Ok, in any case if you’d activate it back, delete all caches and purge CDN if you have. Then do Ctrl+F5 on front-end. Also try to deactivate all plugins which related to comment system and antispam (security, antispam, reCAPTCHA, Jetpack…) and test it again.
If it still doesn’t work open a support topic in gVectors Team forum:

Hmm, I am not able to sign up to the forum because I am not receiving any confirmation email to set my password… I tried 2 different addresses, but nothing…

Please wait for a few minutes and check the spam-box as well.
