Everything used to work just fine, but since a couple of days, whenever I open the profile page, there’s nothing there! Just an empty page.

Not exactly sure when the problem started. Possibly after I created a custom profile form. Even with both shortcodes (for the default and custom profile forms) in the profile page, nothing is showing up.
Any idea what could possibly go wrong here?

    Hi @pc1271 and @denhamfmly,

What version of the plugin you have installed on your site?
Firstly, please make sure that you’ve correctly assigned your User page in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Setup or Settings -> General -> Pages for 2.0.
Secondly, check that your profile form is NOT role specific, this means that it will be only shown to specific user role e.g. only the member user role can see it. You can check these settings in Ultimate member -> Forms -> your profile form and “Apply custom settings to this form” – Yes, Make this profile form role-specific.

    Regards.

    Hi,

    I have version 2.0 installed.
I checked the page settings and they seem to be correct:

    User: https://wk2018.persawa.be/gebruiker/
    Account: https://wk2018.persawa.be/account/
    Members: https://wk2018.persawa.be/members/
    Register: https://wk2018.persawa.be/registratie-pronostiekwedstrijd-wk-2018/
    Login: https://wk2018.persawa.be/login/
    Logout: https://wk2018.persawa.be/logout/
    Password Reset: https://wk2018.persawa.be/password-reset/

https://wk2018.persawa.be/gebruiker/ is the profile page, right? In that page I have the shortcodes of the profile forms.

And both the profile forms are NOT user role specific.

So, I guess everything is set up as it should, but it’s no longer working.

    Regards.

    Hi @pc1271,

This issue may be caused by theme/plugin conflicts.
Can you please try to do a conflict test so we can rule out any conflicts with your theme or other plugins and see if this issue goes away.
Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Regards.

    Hi,

Ok, I activated the twentysixteen theme. The profile page is still empty.
Which is what I expected, since the page used to work before. When I first installed UM with this theme, everything worked just fine. There have been no updates to the theme since.

Another thing I can try is deactivate my plugins and see if there’s an issue with one of the plugins I’m using. I’ll start with the plugins I recently installed or which had a recent update.
I’ll let you know how that goes.

    Regards.

    Hi,

I deactivated all plugins, except UM.
The profile page is still empty, while all other pages work.
And with ’empty’, I mean the body part where the profile should be seen is not there. Everthing else (header, sidebar, footer) was ok. But you can see that when you visit the url I sent earlier.

And then I also changed the theme to the default twentysixteen WordPress theme. Still the same result: empty profile page!

    Regards,
    Patrick

    Hi,

I noticed one of your developers created a user account on my website.
Would it help to give him admin privileges?

    Hi,

It’s been almost 2 weeks ago since your last update in trying to solve this issue. As suggested, I tried to find a possible plugin conflict, causing this problem, but as indicated, I couldn’t find any.
Even more, with only UM and a standard WordPress theme active, the problem remained. So, I don’t know what else to try.

As the website development is nearing completion, I really need to make a choice soon: either keep using UM or look for an alternative solution.
I really like UM and invested a lot of time testing this issue. I want it to work. But if this problem can’t be solved, I’ll have no other choice but to search for an alternative plugin.

Since the website is still under development, as I told you before, I can give you full admin privileges to run every test you wish to run to try and solve this issue.
Please let me know how you wish to continue.
    Thanks,
    Patrick

Problem was resolved by UM Premium Support.
In order to resolve the problem, it was necessary to delete and reinstall UM.

    Thx for helping me out.

    Closing the issue now.
    Best regards,
    Patrick

@ultimatemembersupport @ultimatemember @champsupertramp Would you care to explain this? It’s a very serious question.

I have checked the ticket submitted via our site and the issue was not able to be resolved without us being provided with login details by the customer. These were provided to us by the customer.

We try and avoid logging into customer sites but occasionally it is required especially since UM is a front-end membership platform so to see issues sometimes we need to be logged into their site (not as admin, just general user).

We never ask for wp-admin login details via wp.org forum as know this is against wp.org forum rules.

I will re-mention this to my support staff, to remind them of the processes and rules.

    Thanks
