Empty Post Category when Seriously Simple Podcasting is active

Thanks for using our plugin and for reaching out!
If you have the Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin active, the category list would show the “Series” taxonomy which comes from the SSP plugin.

I assume you don’t have any existing “Series”, so that’s why it is empty and you cannot use regular categories when importing to the “Podcast” post type.

If you intend to import the podcast to the default “Post” post type, you can simply deactivate the Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin and use the default categories.
