Empty page when trying to display a pdf file

    I have been using the plugin for 1-2 years without any issues. However now the plugin is broken and it is not serving its purpose.
    My target is to allow users to see pdf attachents on a new tab (_blank), however when I hit an attachent link, even though a new tab is opened, no content is displayed. The pdf file is not loaded.
    When I use the pretty links, a 404 page is loaded instead.

    Can you please check what is broken and maybe any wordpress update (5.9.1) might create issues.
