    Hi there,

I am very new to WordPress so I may have done something wrong,
I’m using Shopkeeper theme, I was changing something in the functions.php file, after I saved I realised the file is now blank and the website too.
Everything else is there, how can I restore that file?
What happens if I uninstall and reistall the theme?

    Thanks

Download the zip file for your theme, extract the functions.php, and use FTP (or your hosting control panel’s file manager app) to upload that “clean” functions.php to your website, replacing the one you edited.

    1. Hopefully you made a backup and can restore that
    2. Open the theme zip and extract the functions.php and copy it back in

Note – without a backup – you wont be able to restore any customisations. The functions.php will be the factory shipped version in the theme

Thank you so much it worked perfectly!

The same thing happened to my site’s header.php and functions.php (blank boxes after editing). But i thank God i developed my theme myself.

All i did was to download and re-upload the file path having issues.

Copying and pasting when you can lay your hands on the original theme codes can also help.
