Empty field error when no field empty

Suddenly getting the flag that fields are empty on submit even if there’s only one field and it’s not required. I tried rolling back to 4.7 as well. Anyone know what might be causing this? It does seem to submit because contact form db picks up the fields, but it displays the error on submit.
