Empty “Field Description” not possible, retains “Ex: Enter Email Address”

    If I try to empty the Field Description for form fields and click the Update button, all the Field Descriptions come back with a value of “Ex: Enter Email Address,” and that placeholder is visible on the site in every field.

    Confirming this behavior. I can’t call it a bug, because it’s actually how CMB2 behaves with empty values, and a default value provided. CMB2 is used internally to set up the form fields.

    That said, I’m not dismissing this thread. We are going to look into a way to provide both a default value as appropriate, while also allowing for empty descriptions if desired by the site owner.
