    Please help!

At the start of this month, I finally upgraded from a FREE WordPress.COM blog, to a PAID www.remarpro.com domain, through BlueHost.

This means that I have TWO blogs. One Free. One Paid.

I no longer use the free one, and I transported all my posts & pages etc, over to the paid one.

    So far, so good.

I had a couple of login issues, but I believe those are now resolved, so I’m not bothered.

    Until today.

I logged in last night to my paid blog and accessed the DASHBOARD.

Everything was as it should be.

I logged in this morning to the same blog, and accessed the DASHBOARD.

    WHAT THE HELL’S GOING ON!??

    I see:

    DASHBOARD
    PROFILE
    COLLAPSE MENU <

On the grey menu on the left.

    And NOTHING ELSE AT ALL.

    In ‘DAHSBOARD’, I see:

    Activity – Recently Published…

    WordPress News

    Comments.

    Jetpack.

I see NO posts. NO drafts. NOTHING ELSE that I saw just 12 hours before.

What’s happening!? Where’s all my stuff gone? Where’s the rest of the dashboard menu!? How the hell do I fix this!?

This is a BRAND NEW blog! I’ve had it barely three weeks!

    Please help!!

    – Edited to Add –

    I have checked “SCREEN OPTIONS”.

It lists only: “Activity”, “Jetpack”, “WordPress News”.

All three are ticked, and there are no other options listed. Where’s the rest of my stuff!? Help!!

Try deactivating all of your plugins to explore whether any could be responsible. If none are, keep all plugins deactivated and switch to the Twenty Fifteen/ Fourteen theme to see whether it could an issue with your theme.

If you cannot access your plugins in the dashboard, you can deactivate all of your plugins via FTP.

To deactivate all of your plugins via FTP, you just need to rename the “plugins” folder (yes the “plugins” one). Then WordPress will automatically deactivate all of your plugins. You can rename the folder name straight back afterwards.

If still that doesn’t work, you can try replacing the core WordPress files. Pay attention to the bits in bold:
Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

I’m not a computers person. What is FTP & how do I access it to deactivate plugins?

FTP is just a name of the thing that lets you manage the files and folders of your website. This is not the WordPress dashboard, this is something that your hosting providers give you. It can just be a simple file manager that lets you edit files, upload new ones and rename folders.

    OK….

My host is BlueHost. So I’d have to log into my BlueHost account to access it?

Yes, BlueHost could probably give you better advice on how to access their tools.

I…I dunno if I can do this. I’ve never done any of this before. Coding and stuff is something I know *NOTHING* about…

It sounds like you’d be more comfortable getting someone else to do this for you. I recommend posting at WP Jobs for that: https://jobs.wordpress.net

I would be FAR more comfortable with that, yes. Thanks, I’ll give it a shot.

I found the answer to my problem in a YouTube video and was able to fix the issue myself! Everything’s fine now ??

Scheong, would you mind posting the web address of that video? I’m having the same issue.

I think Bluehost is an easy target of hackers. Somebody deleted 2 directories and I thought the server was down until I thought of looking at the server file system and saw it.
