Empty ‘blog’ folder being created disrupting permalink

    Hello,

    I’m using WordPress as a CMS and a blog on danstewartphotography.com and recently moved the wordpress installation from /blog to /wordpress with index.php in the root /.

    The problem is, for some reason, every once in a while a folder called “blog” is created in the root directory which interferes with the permalink I have setup for a page display the latest blog posts (since there is a folder present at danstewartphotography.com/blog is the page is directed to a directory listing of that directory instead of the actual blog to which it should be directed).

    I have no idea why this folder keeps showing up (maybe part of some old cron job?) or what is triggering its’ creation.

    Anyone have any ideas?
