      Matching rule = Black list
      Whilte list = JP
      Black list = (empty)

With these settings, I (from JP) was blocked. Is it by design?

(I’ve already rescued myself by directly editing ip_geo_block_settings and updating s:10:"black_list"; from s:0:""; to s:2:"CN";. So I do not need help. Just wondering about the design.)

Thanks! So the expected behavior of Matching rule = Black list is:

    • White list: Does nothing. It’s just ignored.
    • Black list: Blocks the listed countries. If empty, blocks nobody.

    Right?

Hi tokkonopapa – can you confirm that what H says is correct ?

Sorry, It had been overlooked this thread.

    • White list: Does nothing. It’s just ignored.
    • Black list: Blocks the listed countries. If empty, blocks nobody.

    Yes, that’s right!

In the next release, I’ll change slightly its specification so that the empty list would raise notice.

    Thanks for your confirming.

    No problem, and thanks tokkonopapa.

Keep up the good work. ??
