• Hi there,

I’ve added a bunch of Employees to my website, and when I hover my cursor above the employee photos a lightbox appears with the individual’s name and position.

My question: Is it possible to have this lightbox also include a short paragraph describing them? How would I accomplish this?

    Thanks,
    Justin

  • It’s probably possible but we would need to know what theme you have or what plugin creates the lightbox effect.

Sorry for the lack of information.

I’m currently using the Sydney Pro theme, and the plugin/widget for the Employees is the “Sydney FP: Employees” widget, placed on the front page. I’m assuming that’s the widget producing the lightbox.

    Hello @jbthehutt,

I’m afraid that it isn’t supported by theme’s core. As an alternative solution, try to do the following:

    1. Edit your employee
    2. In the “Employee Info” metabox, put its employee page URL in the field that says “Custom link”
    3. Update. It will make the employees name underneath the avatar becomes clickable
    4. To make the entire employee’s photo clickable, edit widgets/fp-employees.php file on your code editor
    5. Find this code block
    6. Then replace it with this one
    7. Save changes, then update it via FTP or cPanel

    Kharis
