Emoji’s show up as ?

    Hello,

    This happened before using your plugin and I had hoped your plugin would solve the error.

    For some reason, all emojis in my Blog post show up as ‘?’.

    They look fins elsewhere. I tried disabling all my plugins and using the default theme and I still get the error.

    Do you know what may be causing this error? I thought you may have seen this before.

    Hi @deyson,

    the issue you described seems to be unrelated to our plugin because Emoji Toolbar uses native Emojis which means that these characters are displayed with Unicode.

    Here you can see which browsers support native Emojis: https://emojipedia.org/caniemoji/

    If you can reproduce the error on any of the supported browsers there must be a conflict with your database. You have to use utf8mb4 encoded tables: https://stackoverflow.com/a/279279

    Don’t forget to create a full database backup beforehand or ask your web hosting provider for help!
