Emojis don’t appear in comments

    Hi,

    I was surprised to find out that emojis don’t show up in comments. If someone leaves a comment with an emoji, the comment just appears empty. Even if I edit the comment in the dashboard and add the emoji, it still appears empty, even in the dashboard. Is this a bug? Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Jetpack comments do support and display emojis. Can you please send me a link to one of those comments so I can have a look?

    Also, I suggest disabling your plugins (Except for Jetpack) and see if this fixes the issue. It might be another plugin that’s causing this.

    Haven’t tried disabling other plugins yet, is there anything you can think of that I could try before doing that?

    You can try disabling the Jetpack comments and test this out (by leaving a new comment) with WordPress’s built-in comments. If the issue persists, then it’s an issue with your WordPress installation and you’ll need to post to these support forums:

    Tried it, still didn’t work. Was kind of expecting it since emojis also don’t appear in the Dashboard, even when editing a comment and adding it from there. I’ll post in the WP support forums, thanks!
