emmet not working only on 1 website installation

    Hi,

    I have weird situation.

    First, I LOVE this plugin.

    Now, my situation: on only 1 website of 10 I have this plugin installed on, emmet will not work. There are no errors in the console. It just won’t work when enabled.

    tagname[tab] does nothing instead of <tagname></tagname>

    Yes, I have checked for conflicting plugins.

    Any help in resolving would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    • Do you have “Enable Emmet” enabled on the settings page?
    • What version of the plugin are you using? Are you using the latest version, 3.6.0?
    • What version of WordPress are you using?

    Yes. And I have toggled it on/off, saving between. I have checked for plug-in conflicts. This happens on multiple different computers (iMac, MacBook Air) and browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox).

    It only occurs on this one website. I have the plugin installed on multiple other sites (5+) with similar plugin suites without issues.

    • Are you using this plugin in the classic editor? Or are you using this plugin in a custom HTML block?
    • Does Emmet work in the theme editor?

    I fixed the issue. It must have been a corrupt install.

    Steps for fix:

    1. I completely deleted the plugin Custom HTML Block Extension.
    2. Closed all other tabs that contain the website (only 1 tab with website WP admin remaining)
    3. Cleared all caches (browser and WP Rocket/CDN)
    4. Logged out of website admin
    5. cleared browser cache again
    6. Quit Browser
    7. Start browser
    8. Log in to website admin and go to admin > plugins
    9. Searched for, installed and activated Custom HTML Block Extension (again)
    10. Voila, emmet worked again.
