Embeds not converting to preview

    Hi

    I have been noticing this since the first time I noticed embeds were part of WordPress that the feature seems very hit and miss.

    What I mean is this. I paste a link into the posts main text area and it should convert to a preview of the link.

    But for some reason I am finding more often then not the link just will not convert. Any reasoning why a link will not convert?

    I know I did get one from the White House to convert awhile back so I know they are not blocking this sort of feature but I tried with a new press release and nothing it just pops up saying

    Sorry, we could not embed that content.

    Any idea why this would be happening? Like I said the feature has been very hit and miss sometimes working but most times not.

    Scripts may not run in preview. Discuss with script provider.

    No I already discussed this in part with one of the heads out here and he said posting the link in the composition box should show a preview and it has done that several times just stopped all of a sudden. And it isn’t a script I have no script of this nature added is a feature he told me when I asked about it a few weeks ago as I noticed some posts just converted and some didn’t
