Was unable to resolve problem so had to uninstall. Since I need my tinymce in the frontend to work so users can post. But It is a great program if you only post in the backend. And it is by far the best looking way to add links.

Unfortunately though it doesn’t store the data locally so that also caused any pages that had an embedly link for all the browsers like google/firefox etc to cross out my ssl on those pages.

I started a new thread here and just saw yours. I can confirm that there is a conflict with Embedly and TinyMCE. My problem is when I used Embedly to embed an article or video the Save Draft button completely disappeared. Also the publish button was completely unresponsive. If I disabled TinyMCE I could publish. But then if I wanted to edit and update same problem again as the button became unresponsive.

You have a good plugin but you need to fix this incompatibility with TinyMCE. I have even tried a few alternatives but didn’t like any besides TinyMCE.

    Breaks my frontend TinyMCE also.
    Submitted ticket to embedly support.

I am also experiencing this issue. For me, having this Embedly plugin active simply causes the TinyMCE editor to disappear completely on the front end. I really want to use this plugin but I cannot because it breaks the WYSIWYG editor =(

See this support thread for an explanation. Summary: Embedly includes wp-admin/admin.php without being in an admin context.

It also includes wp-load.php. This is not allowed for plugins on www.remarpro.com because it messes up many sites. The plugin directory can be moved, so the path to these files is always unknown.

Hi All, because of ongoing issues with Embedly and Tinymce we modified the plugin to not use the Tinymce editor. We just pushed a new version and should resolve these issues. Let us know what you think!
