I want to embed a code from issuu.com on my blog but when I copy-paste the code that issue gave me… nothing happens.
I hit “Preview” and it doesn’t show anything. If I save.. the code disapears from the post…

Can you give me a hand?
    Thanks

Issuu gives me 2 options. This one is for Thumblr, wordpress or similar, so I chose this one.
The other one doesn’t work either

I really am a beginner with blogs ??

Ok so it’s html code. To do this, edit the post/page you want to add this code to. In the editor where you normally type your content for the post/page just at the top to the right you should see 2 tabs. 1 saying ‘Visual‘ and the second saying ‘Text‘ if you click Text you will now be working in the HTML editable area (dont worry if there is some odd looking text here that you cant understand). Simply at the very bottom Paste that piece of code and then Click back on visual. This will add the bit from Issuu.com at the very bottom of you post/blog. You can then carry on editing your post/page as normal to place your normal text where you want it in relation to this piece of code. Update the page and view and all should be working (it mat take a second or two for the added bit from issuu.com to appear)

When I do as you say, a yellow box apears in the Visual tab, with a very small blue window in the middle.
When I preview, it doesn’t show anything ??

Yes in the visual all you will see is a yellow box with a blue/white box in the middle of that rather small. But if you click update on the right and then go to your website and the page/post that you have updated you should be able to see it. Please note it may take a few seconds to appear.

When I save the draft the yellow box disapears and so does the code from the “text” tab…

Ah ok, this is because you are saving as draft. I have had problems with this before when I saved a draft and went back to it things had disappeared. If you were to publish the page this shouldn’t happen, but If i recall some people have fixed this error by trying a different browser.

    ok, let me try explorer.
I have published the post (looks really strange without the main part of the article ?? ) and it does the same thing – it doesn’t shoe anything. If I press “update” the yellow box in visual and the code in text just disapear.

Hmm that does sound odd, let me know when you have tried in explorer as I have tried on a sample wordpress install just to check and it seems to be fine here :

Thanks a lot for your help ??

Explorer does the same thing… it just publishes the text I wrote before the code… https://zenithproject.wordpress.com/2013/03/13/love-story-un-alt-fel-de-album/

How very odd. I haven’t come across this before. Not sure what else I can suggest really. The only other thing I can really think is it might be to do with the theme (I don’t really see why this would affect it, but there’s a possibility). You could try changing your theme back to one of the WordPress defaults such ast twentytwelve or twentyeleven just to see if it is working in a different theme. If it works in one of those I would suggest it could be your theme causing the problem.

same thing with twentyeleven or twentyten ??

I read on another blog that some pluggings might give problems, but I dont’t think I have intstaled anything. ??

    Thanks a lot anyway
