Embedding Spotify playlists

  • Sorry if this is repetitious, but I can’t find my original post. I can’t embed Spotify playlists right now. Link is OK, using [embed] tags in the text editor, and it’s worked until recently. WP is just displaying the link now. I’ve done it before just by pasting the link. Is there an extra step now?

    Did you make any change such as updating WordPress or a theme?

    There was an update a month ago. I have WP 4.9.14.

    If that was the only change, it could be an issue related to the update. To properly find out the cause, I suggest to deactivate all themes/plugins and embed a spotify playlist again

    I’m also having a problem embedding a Spotify playlist. I can embed songs fine, but with playlists I get: Sorry, this content could not be embedded.

    Copy Spotify URI

    I tried all three options above from the Spotify app and also from the website. Pasted them into the Spotify embed block in WordPress. None of them work.

    This is my first time trying to do this.
