Embedding of Featured Images

That’s not really a core thing and I don’t think Getty’s image embedding would work well for featured images. Doesn’t it enforce an iframe?

I don’t know if it does featured images or not.

Getty enforces an iframe. Featured images can only be uploaded to WP’s media library

what abt having a custom field and storing another iframe embed code for featured image in that field. In theme loop/homepage we can fetch that custom field and can display from there?

But why add it for everyone?
