Embedding a post from Facebook question

    I’m not using this plugin at this moment, but I’m trying to embed a (any) Facebook post but without success. When I try to get the embed code from Facebook I always get the error ‘The href entered is not recognized as a valid URL’ and no clues about how to solve this or what’s going wrong.

    Am I right in thinking that (the premium version of) this plugin will work, but only with posts from pages or groups, not with posts from personal accounts?

    This is about any post from Facebook, not just my own posts, and not about embedding a status/feed.

    Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance and I apologize for the delay in getting back to you here – we didn’t receive the expected notification! As for your question, we offer the same oEmbed functionality in both our Free and Pro version. You should be able to use our Custom Facebook Feed (Smash Balloon Social Post Feed) plugin, enable the oEmbed functionality and then copy and paste in a specific post link. oEmbeds should work for any public content for individual posts, photos, or videos. You can find instructions on how to set this up here.

    You may run into some links that are not being changed to oEmbeds correctly, if you do and the post is public and should work, please send us a support request on our website here and we are sure to look into it.
